Did anyone tell you you will also need at least one good lens to go with that camera, and that the lens is often more expensive than the camera itself?
Of course, you could use the kit lens and produce washed-out looking images... Similar with what your phone produces.
Photography isn't cheap.... I learned that the hard way. Wish someone had told me that around 15 years ago.
I've heard that the lens is often more expensive. My standards for a camera aren't very high since it's just a hobby and I've only used old cameras. I figured I'd get a new lens later if/when I get more serious with photography. I at least wanted to wait until my camera arrives to see what it's like. I didn't realize how expensive photography was until I started browsing cameras. Found out that even $700 cameras are considered on the affordable end. Thanks for the heads up.
I bought a Sigma 18-200 mm lens years ago. However, don’t expect birds in flight with a slower lens but it’s a good all around lens. I’m sure you can find plenty of these used. Digirame has an affordable 600 mm lens I think. Not sure about the specs.

Regards,
There is always something to shoot/snap, you just have to know how to do it and have the right gear.
