Re: Yes.

You may be right, but it seems like the thing Canon would make a selling point for a mid-range body that maybe doesn't wildly increase MP. Even if they came out with a 30MP stacked BSI they could sell the R Mark II for about the same price and increase video specs and dynamic range enough to make it worth the price for an upgrade.

But yeah, maybe more hope than realism. We'll see?

No way it's going to be stacked. BSI, maybe. Even the Sony a7 IV has no stacked sensor and is positioned way higher that the R.

Around 2000€$ you have to thing about something like the Nikon z6II at best. I think it would be a mistake to leave out the IBIS though.

Since the Z5,Z6I/II and a7 III all four have IBIS and are priced from 1400€$ to 2200€$, I cannot see how Canon can release a new camera in that pricerange without it.

I mean they have spend quite some R&D already to develop the best FF IBIS in the current market for the R5, R6 and R3. Would be stupid not to market it. They could come up with a cheaper, less efficient version though, one that is also more compact. Just like Fuji did.
