I added an M6 II to my M, M2 and M50 a month ago. TBH, if I hadn't bought it then I wouldn't buy it now given the recent news. I spent two weeks on the fence thinking about a Sony A7C before coming to my senses and picking up the M6.

The "problem" is that the M mount is something special, something unique. Nothing really lines up with it. Small, light, affordable, great UI, great ergo, great AF, great sensor. And, for me, great lenses that are all I really need. (lol, why would I move on?)

So I'm back on the fence. Giving myself a week or two to decide whether I'm going to sell all my M stuff and switch to something else (Fuji, Sony APSC?) or just keep the M for the foreseeable future. Have a feeling I'll end up sticking with it for now.

Since buying the original M kit with 22, adapter and flash on fire sale from B&H the summer after it came out I have sold my Sony NEX 5n (first move to digital from film), Sony a850 (what a great camera) and a Canon 6D. Plus all the lenses, batteries, etc. that came along with each. The M has stayed and became my only system four years ago.

I think it is such a shame that we probably, at best, aren't going to see another high-end M camera. Canon has probably lost a customer in me because the R system, at the moment, is the least appealing of all my options if I want a new system.
