There will never be a successor to the original EOS R

If you want a FF, 30+ Mpix, no IBIS, x0D build level, priced lower than R6, then forget about it.

The original R was meant to be a demo to showcase Canon's new RF mount and especially the insanely fast 28-70 F2, 50 & 85 F1.2 lens.  Its purpose is to stop users from switching to Sony. With a recycled sensor from the 5Dmk4, it got to the market fast enough.  It bought Canon time to develop the R5 & R6 with IBIS & a new DigicX processor chip for fast readout.  It did its job.  There is no need for Canon to do this again.

After releasing the crop body R7 & R10, there may be a RP replacement as the bottom FF.  So, you can get the more expensive but less MPixel R6, or wait for an RP replacement which may or may not come.
