Pondering to buy a M from fleabay (or something like that over here in Sweden).
I two cabinets full of M42 glass of unknown origin and want to work with them for fun.
I have and love my 1Ds mk III, for which I have a M42 AF-confirm adapter, but I was wondering if there are any (apart from the weight) advantages to buy a M-camera, or is my GAS just rearing it's ugly head?
i have lots of manual focus glass and you really need FF to get the best out of them,,, especially the wide-angle lenses,,,its hard to find optically good old lenses wider than 24mm (your kit lens will be better) a 24mm on APS-c is equivalent to 39mm
you can buy the early sony A7 body very cheap now second hand,,the only problem with the old sony MILC is slow AF which won't mater
if i had stayed with the M and not gotten an R6 i would have got an A7 just for my MF glass

There is no argument for FF vs APS-c (or m43) with shallow DOF..as it's a law of physics and a very subjective personal thing if you want to make use of the shallow DOF only FF can offer
