Add X-T3 or Wait for X-H2S

As stated in the title, I am considering adding the X-T3 or X-H2S to my X-T2. It may be odd to choose between the two and ignore the X-T4 but let me explain. I use X-T2 with the 16-55mm and 50-140mm for kids sports. Recently, I found myself having to switch lens during the game and some fields are very dusty. I used to have X-T1 as second body. I would like to get a second camera for convenience and avoid changing lens. My X-T2 is still fine even though the autofocus is behind the latest generation. AF-C in focus rate is acceptable and I am getting better at it too. I just throw away those out of focus photos, which may be 20% when those kids are running.

I consider two options:

X-T3: I don't need IBIS because I need fast shutter speed for sports. The X-T3 uses the same battery as my X-T2.

X-H2S: It's the latest and suppose to be the greatest. Early review seems to indicate much better AF-C tracking.

I am leaning towards the X-T3 as it is significantly cheaper. I don't do much video yet and most of games videos are taken on iPhone for quick sharing.

I think I can work with X-T3 or the PASM control. On my X-T2, the only dial I use is exposure compensation. I use the aperture ring, the front control dial for shutter speed, and auto-ISO.

If you were me, will you choose X-T3 or wait for X-H2S?

Joe
