No matter how big and powerful a company is they can still make huge mistakes. In fact, sometimes they become so arrogant that they think they can dictate what the public will want. I can refer you to Kodak and Xerox. In my profession of dentistry, Ritter was the Canon of the dental industry. They made several arrogant choices about dental equipment and they are gone. Funny thing, their headquarters were in Rochester, NY.

I will be keeping my M6MarkII until it falls apart. It will not destroy Canon but it is a bid mistake by them and will make them weaker.

Kind of completely lost the thread here, what was the mistake:

  1. R7/R10
  2. or introducing the Ms in the first place?

making a crop R sounds like a good idea for all the wildlife and sportshooters.

R10 also sounds like a nice complement for someone with only R lenses or is coming from crop DSLRs, I think that are millions of users.

But regardless, the average purse didn't grow by 50% suddenly so there is still a healthy market for M200 and M50.

And I also think that will Canon will address the M3/M6 userbase at some point in the future.
