How do you know the X70/XF10 (whichever is latest) isn’t I production? Assumed one was.

They are discontinued and not available to buy brand new.

Plus the RX1R II is arguably as dead if not more dead than any of the 28mm options. Near 7 years old.

yet, it is available to buy today brand new.

So if you narrow the scope of the argument to include only new cameras on the shelf at Adorama, you are right. And if you go by what you could buy on the open market easily, the other guy is right.

He did say there was an abundance around... he could have meant used too. But if that is the case, we can say the same thing about 28, 35, 38, 40, 45, and 50mm... if we open it up to film cameras from decades past. That is why I thought it might be fair to say only new cameras and 24mp or more. 16mp cameras aren't exactly 40mp baby Q2 type cameras.

I want to keep X100 at 35mm because I like 35mm and it's always been 35mm. What other cameras are or are not available is irrelevant.

Well, true...for you, and for me. For the other guy, maybe not.
