I enjoy having one - but probably do not recommend it for you

Hi,

I have the RP with RF24-105L as my standard setup.
I use the RF50 with pleasure when i want to shoot a portrait with blurry background ( in which case I could not care less about corner sharpness )

( if i can position my subject away from the background, i found the RF24-105 at 105 also gives a good subject separation )

I’m not sure how useful a 50mm lens for portraits is in a wheelchair, so would probably recommend something like 100-200mm. My EF 200 F2.8 (at 500$ second hand ) does that wonderfully for me, but perhaps 85/135 mm is even better for you.

Guess it depends on what you want to use it for and how ‘mobile’ you are. For me personally speed and convenience in getting a good shot are also important - hence I do like zooms!
