Selling an X-T2 with a tiny scratch on sensor filter glass?
1

I'm thinking about upgrading the only X-T2 body I have left to an X-Pro3, but somehow it has ended up with a tiny (1mm?) scratch on the sensor filter glass.

I've tested it extensively to see if I can spot the scratch, but haven't noticed it in a single image, even when shooting a blank white background and using Lightroom's "show dust" tool.

It seems I have two options: Sell it as-is and clearly state that it has a scratch and include photos of the scratch itself and sample images showing that it doesn't affect images, which would mean I take a big hit on the price. Or I send it in for repair and shell out money to have it fixed and then sell it, which still means I take a hit on price.

Either way, I plan to be honest/transparent. I would never want to buy something to find out the seller hadn't been upfront about the condition.

What's the best option? Thanks!
