Another one from my traipse around NM. GFX100s + GF 45-100/4. Raw processing in DxO PL5, finished in PS CC. This was made in 70+ mph winds with flying sand and debris. Didn't think I was going to get any usable images! Pleasantly surprised.

All feedback/comments welcome and appreciated. Thanks for looking.

This is a really nice image. I think you over sharpened it though. Whenever the edges are that clearly defined, the image looks over processed and unnatural. Perhaps I'm over sensitive to that aspect, but I think I would ease off on the processing a bit.... quite a bit.

Appreciate the feedback - I am working on making a platinum print of this image and have found that process to require a fair amount of sharpening. You're right - for display on screens this needs to be dialed down, probably quite a bit. I'll redo the image when I get back to a proper monitor. Thank you!

Cool! Post a pic of your platinum print when you make it. Who's making it for you?

Thanks! I will but I am afraid it will be a while before I can do that. I do have the chemistry down but linearizing and other intricacies of the digital negative process are going to take a while before I have that all sorted out and firmly in my grasp, at least in any sort of repeatable way. I have very good teachers though, so there's that!  Keeps the old brain alive, I guess.
