Could the R7 be seen as the successor to the EOS R?

Could the R7 be seen as the successor to the EOS R?

Obviously one is FF and the other is APS-C. I'm still very skeptical on what Canon will do lens wise for RF-S.

But aside from that, R7 kind of cleans up a lot that wasn't great about the EOS R. Same ~30 something MP, more logical body design, IBIS, fast AF & FPS, full width 10 bit 4K video. If the right permutation of lenses comes to market the R7 could def be more than a teleconverter for wildlife shooters.
