Do you need a fast wide angle zoom?

I ask this question because for most people the answer is no. I had the EF 16-35 f4 until I recently traded it for an RF wide angle zoom. The f4 IS is very sharp. Most reviews have nothing but praise for the f4 and consider it one of Canon's best lenses. I felt that way after my first shoot with the lens. I personally think it is one of the best Canon lenses I have used over the last 40 years of using Canon cameras.

I zero experience with the f2.8 version. The few reviews I read all said the same thing, unless you need a fast wide angle zoom get the f4. The savings on used versions can be substantial. Mine was used and it was a very clean great lens.
