Can I use Canon M6 Mark2 with vintage EF lenses?

Hi there,
TL;DR can I use a mirrorless camera with EF-mount vintage glass?

I have a Canon M6 Mark2 with a Canon EF-EOS M adapter which works fine with my Canon EF lenses.

I also have some vintage glass like Helios-44-2 that I'm currently using with my Canon 1300D with a cheap adapter M42-EOS.

But when I try to use this setup with my M6M2 I got an Err 01 (Communications between the camera and lens is faulty)

I wonder if it's some error there, or if this setup is just impossible, considering that I'm using two adapters one on another (EF-EOS M adapter + M42-EOS)

ANSWER:
Canon EOS M6 Canon EOS Rebel T6 (EOS 1300D)
