I'm glad you reminded me of this, the flash and hood creating vignetting, I had forgot about it. I did just purchase the Godox TT 350f flash which is a great flash for the X100f so with it on, the vignetting won't be a problem.

It's not vignetting as such, it's a shadow cast by the hood. The shadow is there even without a hood when the subject is at close quarters. Not so with the Godox due to its elevated, above the camera, position.

So as long as you're ok with the overall "enlargement" of the camera - hood and additional flash, you'll be good to go.
