ABW mode gives warm images

I don't typically use Epson's ABW mode for b&w printing but lately have experimented with it some and liked it. But I did notice the images definitely had a warm tone to them. Has anyone else noticed images that are slightly off from neutral?

I was using the Canson Rag Photo 310, which is a matte paper. I really love that paper. My printer is epson p900. I use an i1 Pro spectro for calibration and linearization, and when I looked at the Lab values for my 51 step grayscale, the b* was very well behaved except for the deepest shadows, but the was a big hump of about +2.25 in the a*, which indicated the warm tone I was seeing. A small tweak to the ABW color wheel fixes it, but I was still surprised to have it in the first place. I'm sure the amount of shift varies with paper type though.
