Handling large cards

When I bought the R6, I bought a pair of 128Gb V90 SD cards to use in it. My practice has been to keep the photos on the cards I’ve used as a sort of distant backup. However, with the number of photos I’ve been taking using the motor drive for soccer and even slower for backyard birds, it’s taking a long enough time downloading the new photos through card reader to become annoying if not time wasting.

suggestions on helping/fixing this annoyance?

as an example, last night I took a staggering 1,904 pictures at last nights game.

*For reference m I have been shooting raw.  I did go shooting raw to one card and jpg to the second card.
