As was pointed out, the cameras made more than 10 years ago are not something that should be compared to, to other modern devices (especially video). Try looking at one of the more modern Canon DSLR or mirrrorless cameras. The designers make a huge effort for improvement each generation. The technology changes all of the time. You might want to read about it.

I know very little about video except for a few times recently that I have used it with my Canon T7i (800D) and Canon M50 Mark II cameras (that's why I suggest reading about it). I was very happy with the results. I was more happy with the Canon M50 Mark II for video because I could use the viewfinder if I wanted, plus at least one other reason. On sunny bright days it was hard to see the image in the LCD screen. I did have any accessories with the cameras for these video tests, but still the sound was excellent too.

But for still photography under ISO3200 or so, the Canon T3i (600D) camera was great as shown below. I used mine for a long time. Then I upgraded for one reason to explore taking video pictures, because I knew it was important to have something that was more up-to-date.
