Is Canon RF 15-35mm F2.8 unavoidable for interior/architecture photography?

The RF 14-35 F4 would be an improvement (savings wise) on the allegedly best interior lens mentioned in the subject, I see that now. But I am now in a lower price bracket.

Yes, all RF L zooms have a really high price.   Some are even more expensive.  RF24-105 L. is a very good lens and the price is not much higher than EF 25-105 Mk II version. I do not know why it is "cheaper"  than the very expensive lenses

Canon lenses have been expensive "always". Of course they are durable and usable for very many years.  I had a EF version that I bought in 2007 0r 8. I sold it when I bought the RF version - and I even got some real money for it.
