R5 with smaller amount of pixels
1

I wonder what the IQ is when you select a Medium amount of pixels in the  R5 camera menu. I am sure that perhaps you can chose (say) 25 Mpixels (instead of full amount of 45 MPixels.

When I study various RF lenses' reviews, the authors often show sharpness diagrams separately for cameras with higher  (say above 40) and lower (say below 25) number of M Pixels. Typical situation is that they show differences in lens' sharpness ( also vigneting and distorsion) between the R5 and R6 cameras.

E.g. the RF 16 mm f/2.8  lens performs much better with the R6 than with the R5.

So can one  simulate the R6 simply decreasing the numer of pixels in the R5?
