Any verdict on 24-70 f4 vs 24-120 f4 comparison? Both Z lenses.

I was shooting casual photos at a neighborhood birthday party yesterday with my Z 24-70 f/4 - a lens I love - but I couldn't help wishing I had the extra reach the 24-120 f/4 Z would have provided.

The last time I considered doing this swap, though, the 24-120 wasn't readily available and I didn't get a good sense of quality and portability comparisons.

Anyone out there have and compare both? Are there noticeable real world differences or small enough that it's only noticeable in more of a pixel-peeping situation?

I know it's a bit larger and heavier, but still seems pretty portable for what you get. I also expect some level of quality loss, at least in certain areas, but that extra 70-120 range at f4 the whole way could make this EXTREMELY useful as an "only lens required" in so many situations.

I'll be shooting some industry conferences for work pretty regularly beginning soon, and it would be great to only have to bring a single lens.  I don't see the 24-70 having quite enough reach, but lugging my 70-200 around for minimal use doesn't seem practical, either when you're on your feet all day.
