Hi, I no longer have my GRIII but the technique described here worked perfectly for me.
I think setting the Auto-ISO, but forcing it to manually always "auto" to 1600 was pretty key.
What settings are you exactly trying to use?
I am usin all manual, aperture f2.8, shutter speed 1/125, ISO 400, the screen still look dark. I am wondering what is the mistake. Thanks for your info.
If you have a dark screen with those settings then you are in a dark environment so you dont have enough light.
You will need to be in auto iso to see the screen if you dont have enough light when in manual mode. Use the settings i posted above but instead of iso auto upper limit 1600 use 400. You will then see the screen.
You are correct, after I changed to auto ISO limit to 400 and I can see the screen now. I really appreciate your input so helpful to shoot with flash.
