For you folks with older cameras with the body rubber getting sticky...
9

I love my old D200 but the rubber cover on the body was getting really sticky and felt disgusting. I tried wiping it down with a warm, wet cloth, then a warm wet cloth and some mild soap, then a cloth dampened with rubbing alcohol. Nothing helped.

Last night, I tried something a little different, and it worked! I wiped the rubber down with a cloth wet with 303 Protectant, a rubber/plastic/vinyl preservative. I let it dry overnight and this morning, the camera feels like new.

I don't know how permanent a solution it will be but it sure is nice holding that camera without the nasty, sticky feel.
