The original Fuji lenses were attractive to me because they didn’t go that route. They were optically great. Fuji is doing this now increasingly too.

TBH, not sure on how I feel about that. On the one hand, I would want every lens to be optically perfect. On the other, if the software correction is particularly effective, what’s the issue? Especially At The Price!

The other issue is that the reviews I read, a limited sample to be sure, seem to show the two L ultra wide zooms aren’t that impressive.

I guess it's up to you. For me personally, the corrections are too much. Photos with it look OK, and there aren't any other options even close to it on RF mount which I guess is what really matters in the end.
