Proud owner of a new Fuji X-T200. It came with a 14-45 3.5-5.6 lens. Is a lens upgrade in order?

The 15-45 is decent but the handling is not on the same level as some of the other Fujifilm lenses. What I mean is the power zoom is not everyone's cup of tea.

Whether you want a lens upgrade depends on what you want from the camera. Any of the XF lenses would give you the additional control of the aperture ring but you'll be paying to get it.

The other XC lenses are good and affordable. 50-230 and the XC 35 f/2 give you all you really need and are consistent with the control scheme of the 15-45.

Any suggestions on how to get to know this little guy?

I have the X-A7 which as mentioned is essentially the same as the X-T200. It's a lot more touch screen focussed than other Fujifilm cameras. I would recommend customizing the display settings, what is shown, what controls are available, etc. Customize the Q menu and get used to that as your interface & control scheme.

I use mostly aperture priority with auto ISO and use the rear dial for exposure compensation. If you're coming from DSLR to mirrorless get used to adjusting how you auto focus, ie putting the box on edges and areas of contrast is generally a better approach with hybrid AF.
