Virtually ALL lenses can be copy dependent regarding their flaws. I got lucky except for one lens of the 6 I own, having them virtually perfect and CA and LOCA free including a RF24-70 f2.8L copy. Only my first copy of a RF24-240 had those issues. The replacement is perfection. So you can't paint with a wide brush attacking such a lens. Guess you have one made on a Friday afternoon. LOL

Thanks, I'm not attacking the 24-70 per se, just enquiring as to whether I have to stop down to f/5.6 or smaller just to avoid LOCA when shooting at MFD. I don't mind lateral CA as it's easily corrected.

Don't be dense, it's lens not 'lense'!
