It's the optical viewfinder that makes it what it is IMHO, if you're not fussed by that then an X-E4 will produce the same results.

Well, it is also the better build quality, the small 23mm pancake, the leaf shutter, etc. By the way, all Fujifilm cameras with the same sensor produce the same results, so we obviously are all buying different models for other reasons.

I know what the differences are, but, as I said, it's the optical viewfinder that's the real differentiator, you can put a faster 23mm lens on the XE4, and the better build quality is debatable, as for the sensor, did you really think I wasn't aware of that, or that people buy different cameras for different reasons?

I never indicated l thought they were non factors, its disingenuous to suggest that, l just expressed my opinion that the ovf is the main differentiator to other models, because obviously it is. It was the first camera of this type ever made, and it's subsequent success is built upon that switchable ovf. Though the X-Pro line has the same functionality, it's less useful unless you stick to a 23mm lens or similar, and that camera is often used in evf mode only because of the ovf limitations with longer focal lengths.
