Re: Next X100?

Rent one to see if it's for you. Don't worry about things that have not been released. Buy what suits your needs.

It is a very special camera, that has it's drawbacks and features that makes it unique. I owned the S and the T model, and they where lovely and challenging at the same time. If I could afford an X100v, I would not hesitate. I cannot afford both interchangeable lens model and fixed, because I need two bodies for redundancy and for mounting a 56mm or 16mm. My favorite is the X-Pro2, I've had one since it was launched. It is more than enough to make professional pictures in A3 size on paper. So is any new X100.

The X100v best qualities are in my opinion, near silent leaf shutter - great also for challenging mixed light, small size, great fun to use, unobtrusive, good lens and now good auto focus. The last one was my main problem with the old models. AF was sometimes spotty. The X100v model has had a lot of upgrades compared to the previous model.

If you want low ISO, use a bean bag or a tripod, or just any flat surface and shoot things that do not move:)

You'd better love 23mm or 18mm. I do.
