Quick question is it worth trading in my EF 70-200 2.8L IS II USM for the RF version? I already have the control ring adapter.

Is the RF significantly better? Would I be better putting the money towards another lens? Anybody made the same change?

Thank you.

I swapped the v. III for the RF a couple of months ago.

No noticeable improvements in image quality, focus speed or IS for my use case. Also lost a big chunk of money on the trade. You also lose the ability to use extenders.

That being said, I am very, very happy with the trade and I would do it again. I have the RF with me all the time and have already taken more pictures than I have taken with the EF in all these years of ownership.

The EF was a stellar lens that I rarely used.
