I use both Pentax DSLR and Sony mirrorless cameras.

Pentax APS-C is my main system and I have both APS-C and FF mirrorless from Sony.

They are good on different things, but in general I do not have any major issues with EVF. One good thing with EVFs is that they are not limited by the sensor size like OVF are. So it is possible to use a smaller sized sensor without having to limit size on the viewfinder.

MY FF mirrorless camera is manly used for manual focus lenses. Like a digital replacement for old manual focus film camera. Here the EVF has some clear advantages with focus peaking and magnification for helping with manual focus.

The APS-C mirrorless is mostly used as a P&S camera. An old Nex7 with a large but not particularly good EVF.

When using the camera in the field I do not think much about he difference between OVF and EVF. It is pretty easy to adapt to both.
