Have you sold your M6? What was the main reason?
I'm tempted into getting one, but dunno if i will regret it because i was looking mainly for portability (and improving my old t3i/600D). efm Lenses are hard to get here (even the camera can only be found on gray market, and even that way is hard to get one).
I think i would love a powershot but i'm kinda pixel-peeper, so there's that too...

Yes.

Simplicity.

I personally don't like things complicated. Lens swaps even. Personal choice. Honestly the M6 II + 18-150 was a good gig, but the last copy I got, I had a faulty IS unit on the 18-150. Lightroom improved it's delivery on the G5X II RAWs recently. There are days I wish I still had the M6 II, and there's days I'm happy I have the G5X II. The G5X II is more low profile, does low light reach a lot better as it's a long and fast zoom. Places like indoor play areas its killer, or your kids school for say a rendition of some kind. The M6 II however did lens swaps, which the 22 pancake can go shallower than the G5X II, the 18-150 has more reach than the G5X II. It also has superior image quality at the end of the day. But, again, bigger, more complicated. Honestly either of them fit the bill. The fact that I ditched it, again, it's not a fault of the M6 II itself or it's lenses. Honestly at this junction, dare I say I'm learning that for me, I need a "big" camera, and some kind, any kind of "small" camera. The G5X II and M6 II both fit the small camera bill nicely. Which? Honestly there isn't a right/wrong answer. Just choices.

My RF 28-70 f/2L lives on my R.

I shoot my G5X II for day-to-day. Simple, as I said.

That's why I like the M6 II + 18-150 and 22 pancake. Single lens swap covers 97% of ones needs. The 11-22 is where that other 3% comes in. It may not get mounted often (a wide angle), but it's a quality thing, the shots you get off of it, although not many, are rewarding.

I wish Canon had a Nikon DL like offering, example DL 18-50 (wide angle). And it's a shame Canon sunset the G3X.

It's notable the G5X II is out of stock almost everywhere state-side these days. Don't know where you live. EF-M lenses are readily available here though.

Get what fits your needs best. Either the G5X II or M6 II + EF-Ms do well.
