I happened to be on Amazon and ran into a setup that plugged into a power brick they're made for all the M cameras, this one is for any M camera that takes the LP E17 Battery which is the M6 MKII.

Raeisusp CA-PS700 USB Cable DR-E17 DC Coupler Dummy Battery for Canon EOS M3 M5 M6 M6 Mark ii

I read a lot of reviews some of the reviewers had problems with firing the shutter. The problem was that their power bricks output was to low. The recommended Amp output should be between 3 and 4 amp output.

I was considering getting one but am putting it off. I looked at hundreds of power bricks and many don't list the out amperage and others were in the 2 range which is to low.

If you decide buying something like this and find a power brick that's output is 3 or above please post a link.

I bought two of the Raeisusp adapter/couplers last Fall to power my M6ii and M50 when doing astrophotography at remote locations. I had read about potential issues with these adapters so I bought high amperage bricks for them as well. But I discovered that the cameras worked just fine with my regular 2.3A bricks. I say "just fine", but must qualify that to add that I eventually discovered that the Long Exposure Noise Reduction (LENR) feature of my M6ii would not work when tethered to this adapter, even when using the high amperage brick. I actually bought a second Raeisusp adapter for my M6ii but encountered the same issue. If I want to use the LENR function, I have to put the Canon LP-E17 battery into the camera.

That's interesting. I've got a power bank that delivers USB-A 5v 4 amps. I should try that one.

Edit: I just tried a handful of my power banks and they all ran LENR no problem (even up to 30 seconds SS). I'd try another power bank.

Ok, so I'm not really sure what happened, but after reading this post, I remembered that the Celestron Power Tank Lithium Pro battery that I use to provide 12 VDC to my Star Adventurer mount also has a couple of USB ports on it.  So I got out the User Manual for the battery and read that one of the ports is rated for 4A and the other supports "Quick Charge" devices.  I tried the 4A and then the Quick Charge port with my DR-E17 coupler.  I wanted to see if the LENR function would work, but no joy.  So I tried other functions as well to see if they worked.  At this point I noticed that the auto focus function on the camera had stopped working.  Long story short, the AF had stopped working and nothing I tried would restore it.  I tried all my AF lenses.  None of them worked.  I have a second M6ii and the AF for all the lenses worked with that camera.  After several days of looking online and trying different things, I reset the camera to factory settings just now.  At first, the AF still didn't work.  I turned on Continuous focus and that worked.  Shortly after that, the regular AF function started working again.  Go figure.  I'm not convinced that its really fixed.  Got my fingers crossed though.
