Do you all use the 70-200 with the tripod mount? I took mine of real quick since I don't shoot that often on tripod and don't think I need to hold it for stability as with my previous 70-200s.

I thought I'd jump in on this comment. I don't often remove my tripod mount on m y RF70-200 f2.8L but have to admit if I was going out on a significant jaunt I would. There's NO need for a tripod with this lens on a R5 with near 7 stops of IS. One of the great perks of that body and their new IS lenses.

Have you really been able to realize close to 7 stops of IS/IBIS performance? I’m happy if I get close to 4-5.

I may not often shoot in situations where the stabilization will struggle, but I have taken some outrageous low light shots with my R5 and the likes of a RF24-70 f2.8L and gotten perfect results. I can't see myself shooting in lower light then the examples I've stated.

The IS in the RF 24-70 is really unique to Canon’s f/2.8 mid range zoom and helpful for sure.
