I think the 85mm 2.0 would be really good for band pictures in small clubs. Team it up with a RF 35mm 1.8 and you could cover band photos pretty well. The IS on each lens would allow slower than usual shutter speeds, if needed, and if the band is playing, silent shutter wouldn't be needed. If the music was, say, a string quartet, then silent shutter would be available.

I shot over 400 pictures at the play, and with silent shutter, I didn't disturb anyone. I doubt I would have shot any at all if there was audible shutter noise. I think it is rude to go click-click-click while people are trying to enjoy a theatrical event. In this sense, even the limited silent shutter application as in the RP is invaluable. I would love to have silent shutter with full manual control, and the RP's work around (shooting in focus bracketing mode) is just to cumbersome for me. I think the R6 supports manual shooting in silent shutter, but that camera is a bit too pricey for me.
