Manual focus on Canon RF24-240 with R5
Manual focus on Canon RF24-240 with R5

Having read other comments here - and elsewhere -I was under the impression that you had to go into the menu to use manual focus on the RF 24-240, Not so - at least with the R5. With focus set to "AF" in the menu and the lens switch set to "focus" I have manual focus override without going to the menu ormaking other changes. This works, as well, witht he RF 24-105. I also have my shutter buttonprogrammed to start meteringo n a half press and my AF-ON button set to start automatic focus and metering, Honestly, this may be well known, but from what I have read others seem to think you have to set the manual focu in the menu each time you want to use it. That would be a bummer for me because as a nature photographer I really need quick access to manual focus. Note: At first I could not get this to work on my Canon RP - but as soon as I removed focusing from a shutter button half press and put it instead on the AF-On button, it works on the RP as well.)
