What are all the film simulations available in X-T3, with the latest firmware?
Is there a resource that lists them for other X-series cameras?
I’m only familiar with X-T2.
Thanks!
X-T3 has all X-T2 plus new Acros film simulation. Also you can add grain and color chrome effects to extend each film simulation.
You can explore specialized app called Fuji X Weekly — Film Simulation Recipes available for android and iOS
Hi yukosteel
The X-T2 already has Acros. Or what do you mean with "new Acros"?
Regards,
Martin
I was wrong, but later edited replaced Acros with Eterna. Personally I like X-T3 more than X-T4 and X-T2.
What makes it better than X-T4?
That stupid flippy screen and still no improvement in image quality is why I’m still shooting with the X-T2.
Yukosteel’s answer interests me.
I don’t typically shoot jpegs at all, so what film sims a camera comes with aren’t really of any concern to me. I can process the RAW files any way I want. X-T2 RAWs are every bit the equal of X-T4 RAWs.
My question for yukosteel is still what makes an X-T3 better than an X-T4. I respect his opinions, because he's one of the few people here who can do camera teardowns, etc., and tell us why gear is good or not. I figure he has some kind of inside story on this comparison.
Well he didn't say it's but but he likes it more so a personal preference...XT3 is lighter, cheaper, has tilt screen and uses older battery which you may already have plenty lying around.
XT4 has it's advantages like ibis, larger battery and some love the flippy screen and better grip.
I doubt there's any "inside story" but hopefully yukosteel can clarify that.
Thanks for asking Erik Baumgartner , and also thanks everyone for highlighting important differences of X-T3 vs X-T4.
It's just my personal preference, and is not driven by scientifically or statistically justified reason. It happened that I don't actually need X-T4 IBIS (and unfortunately it can't be turned off completely) and I'm not a big fan of its flipping screen, other than that X-T4 is an awesome camera. Minor reasons in favor of X-T3 - it's much cheaper, a bit lighter and more compact. The only thing I'm missing in X-T3 is set of extra film simulations of X-T4, but that's not critical.
Regarding noticeable benefits of X-T3 over X-T2 which I personally use - much faster autofocus with tele-zoom lens, and wider set of film simulations, and also more pleasant JPEG skin tones when shooting on high ISO in low light conditions.
I'm glad you came back to follow up on this. Thank you!
You are very welcome Papa48, that was a good question.
I think with photo lens it is easier to give recommendations, but cameras are different beasts. Many of that personal preferences change over time, and it's nice to know what are differences in practical use. I've got excited about many marketed features of newer cameras, and later realized that "yes sounds cool but" I don't use them : )

We're Noct messing around with this review.
Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom impress in a lot of ways, but their noise reduction lags the competition and their lens corrections lack a real-world basis. DxO PureRAW 3 aims to come to their rescue without totally reinventing your workflow!
The Sony ZV-E1 is the company's latest vlogging-focused camera: a full-frame mirrorless camera based the FX3/a7S III sensor, aimed at YouTubers and 'creators' looking to go pro.

Holy Stone produces dozens of low-cost drone models aimed at consumers. We look at the HS710 and HS175D to see if they stack up to other sub-250g offerings. Are these secretly great or more like toys?
Above $2500 cameras tend to become increasingly specialized, making it difficult to select a 'best' option. We case our eye over the options costing more than $2500 but less than $4000, to find the best all-rounder.
There are a lot of photo/video cameras that have found a role as B-cameras on professional film productions or even A-cameras for amateur and independent productions. We've combed through the options and selected our two favorite cameras in this class.
