Re: Viewing stereo pairs on VR HMDs

I make some of my own 3d clips using two cameras side by side on a bar.

I can produce from the two video files a horizontally squashed side by side clip which is 16 by 9 ratio ( mp4 clip ). It think from some research I have done, that these clips may be accepted by Quest 2 unit if the clip have the metadata 'frame-packing=3' added. I have found a way of adding this metadata ( I use the free software ' handbrake' ). I up-loaded a couple of my clips with this metadata to youtube , and youtube has recognised the clip as suitable for 3d. It takes the side by side clip and plays it in red-cyan anaglyph format.

Here is a link to two of my clips with the metadata 'frame-packing=3' added.

Is it possible to view these clips using the Quest 2 unit and what sort of results do you get.

If viewing from Youtube does not work I could send the clips as mp4 files by google drive or something.
