Hello...

Looking for some feedback. Started my journey with t3i to a 70D to now an entire system of Sony with the A7R2 and handful of G and GM lenses currently. Mid way, purchased an EOS M for my wife and got addicted to how easy it was to pocket it everywhere with the 22mm lens.

Now that Im starting to travel for business again, my entire kit of Sony is too much to take and often time is too much to even bring with two lenses (24-105 f4 and 35 f1.4 typically ). Im looking back to how pocketable the eos M is and keeps pushing me back to wanting to use it. Specifically with the 22mm lens.

so whats stopping me on the eos m1? The autofocus and resolution of the M is pretty rough and doesnt compare at all to my A7R2. I do crop a lot! So looking at whats out, the M6II and Sonys ZV-E10 fits the bill. I also do the occasional vlogs.

since i cant seem to find a zv-e10 anywhere and i have the 22mm ef-m (along with the 18-55 ef-m, ef to efm adapter and a few ef lenses still) im tempted to get the m6 II. The megapixel and size of the camera are all very tempting. Not sure i like the screen flip. Always loved the 70D screen flip and hate my A7R2s tilt. Also, the 4k definitely doesnt look as strong as the zv-e10, and not even sure if it would be a step up on my a7R2.

lastly, this is a nice to have. I hope theyll come out with a m6-3, but will it be better? (For me its just the tilt screen and video sharpness) all the other boxes seem checked. Tho not sure on battery life. The eos m50ii is a non starter as its bigger with the EVF and no dual pixel AF in 4k.

do i…gas out and get the m6ii for travel? If so, it would be the 22mm for sure but do i pair it with my 18-55kit or is there a ~85mm f2ish equivalent thats some what compact? I think the main hesitancy is ive been out of the loop on the M line: is a next gen around the corner, if not, am i going to be disappointed compared to my a7r2 aside from size?

need some sounding boards. Thanks!

IMHO - I think the EOS M6II would be a very nice digital for yourself - I have the 'M' camera and many lenses that can fit on it.
