Something you might consider is to retime your footage in post-production. The studio version of DaVinci Resolve has a "Speed Warp" algorithm for interpolating frames, you could use it to convert your 30p footage to 60p. And even the free version can do this semi-decently.

Thanks, I read your post last night and then let it render at 60fps overnight. I think it looks about the same. Will have to take a closer look later today.

Be sure to go into the "Retime and Scaling" section of the inspector panel for the clip and set the "Retime Process" to "Optical Flow" and the "Motion Estimation" to "Enhanced Better" or "Speed Warp". The latter is only available in the Studio version and will slow down render times quite a lot.

If you leave it at the default of "Nearest" then it won't do any frame interpolation and the results will look identical to 30p.

I will have to check my settings.  I'm assuming they are not the default settings so that's why the improvement was not noticeable. I only have the free version, but I will try all the settings I can.  Thanks again!
