Hi, when I have added a few legacy lenses in my GFX 50SII, how do I invoke them? In other words, if I turn on my camera and want to shoot with lets say lens nr. 4, how do I get to it? Can't find it in the manual.

And when I have IBIS on, does it then automatically see the focal length of the old lens?

Kind regards

Edwin

I am also interested in the same. It took me quite a while to register 2 of my manual focus lenses, Canon 24mm TSE and 90mm TSE. Would be nice to know the easier process of registering and selection for use. I think all this is only needed if I needed to use IBIS. If not, it shouldn't matter.

If I understand you correctly, what you're looking for is Mount Adaptor Settings.

In the 50S II, they moved it into Image Quality Settings. If you have the PDF of the manual (or paper), it's on page 127.

I use a 50R and almost exclusively use adapted lenses so I use this all the time. I put it in the My Menu settings, so it's the first thing that comes up when I press the Menu button on the camera -- very handy.

One thing to keep in mind is that apart from focal length, I don't believe you can set anything else for adapted lenses that aren't connected via the Fuji adapter (which is for Hasselblad lenses only). At least that's how it works on my 50R. I cannot set Distortion Correction, etc.

I leave the IBIS question to someone else because I have no experience with that. I certainly hope that the camera is smart enough to take the focal length into account.

With the X-H1,you have to enter the focal length of the lens (in menu settings) for IBIS to operate properly. When I used Pentax in the past, it was the same procedure. 50S II is probably the same (I don't have one).

thx for your input on this, very helpfull

Thnx guys, this is helpful. Come to think of it: when I configure my full frame vintage lenses in my GFX 50S II which focal lenght should I put in, the one stated on the lens i.e. 50 mm (full frame) or in case of the GFX the 35mm equivalent 0.7 times 50 is appr. 40 mm?

I did not verify this but, on the top of my head, would say the actual focal lenght. It seems logic. That would be 50mm in your exemple.

Absolutely. True focal length always.
