Going back to Nikon - Sort of
1

First of all...I do love my X-Pro3 and X-100f. Since I got the two before mentioned cameras, my Nikon DSLR equipment have been sitting in a bag or up one the shelf. The DSLR equipment still sits unused and I have no plans going Nikon mirrorless at this time. I did however brought out an old Nikon Coolpix A for the first time in ages and charged the batteries up. It is 16mp with a DX sensor and has a sharp, 28mm FF equivalent lens. I forgot how good this little thing is and it is truly a pocketable camera. I had it sitting on my desk side-by-side with my x100f and there is a significant size difference. While many feel the X100 series is a carry anytime camera, it is rather large to be pocketable or at least for me. I think the old Coolpix A is more suitable carry anytime camera for me when I have really no plans to shoot. No doubt there are better ultra small cameras but I have no interest buying anything new. This little 16mp marvel will suit me fine. Now if I know I will come across some shooting opportunities, I will alternatively bring out the X100F or X-Pro3. I have drunk the Fuji koolaid. Going back to using this old camera however.
