Hi everyone,

Would like to know if how DaVinci Resolve compares to Premiere Pro in terms of computer demand.

Apparently, it has been said by a few that DaVinci Resolve is a bit more demanding than Premiere Pro than the GPU side, but does that mean that there's a very big difference? Can lower-end laptops still run DaVinci Resolve if they can run Premiere Pro?

Davinci Resolve is able to make use of the GPU power more than Premier Pro which is a good thing. Generally the GPU is there to take workload from the CPU because it is faster at doing certain kinds of tasks. Resolve runs better than Premier Pro on every computer I’ve ever used because it is able to send more of the work to the GPU instead of just relying on the CPU to do everything. Having a powerful GPU has much more potential benefit with Resolve than PP but if you are telling me you have a really powerful CPU but a crappy GPU, in that case I’m not really sure how that would affect the performance of Resolve.

Hi, thanks for sharing your experience
