Re: Canon user considering upgrading SL1 to RP

I have owned the SL1 for many years and purchased the RP when released. The RP is going to be a pretty significant upgrade for you. As others have stated it is not an R5 or R6 but coming from the SL1 it is much better in my opinion. I use my RP with the low cost RF primes. 16mm, 35mm and 50mm. I just purchase the 24-105 4-7.1 so no comment on that yet. I love the primes and they are affordable. I'll be adding the 85 soon. The RP and these lenses make a nice small kit that fits in a smaller backpack which I love. I am hoping the zoom will be a good lens for when just grabbing the camera without a bag. I do own several EF lenses as well and for the most part I am happy with them. The 40 is great on the RP. My 24-70 2.8 is a bit of a beast on it though. Kinda top heavy. I also use the 17-40 on it with good results. The adapter to me is not an issue and if you are comfortable with your EF glass you are good to go and just move to RF lenses over time as needed.
