Considering getting an m5 or m50, but concerned about whether or not the AF system would be able to track a moving subject (say, a dog running across the park) as well as my 600d (on the central cross-type AF point only).

Also, would the EF-M adapter affect AF speed?

Any advice?

I moved several years ago from 600D to M6, it was a progress in AF performance for me, I had several EF-S lenses that I kept using the time to buy EF-M equivalent, no problem with AF, may be the 50f/1.8 on macro tube was slower,

A couple of questions:

1. Did/do you shoot any moving subjects?

Not really, some toddler moving around...

2. If you can remember, was the m6's grip smaller than the 600d's grip?

The M6/M6II is smaler than the 600D,
