I used to go to Scotland pretty frequently for work. Wish I still did. My travels there is actually the reason that I bought a Fuji XE1. After one of my first trips I had taken some great photos on my smartphone, a Blackberry lol, expect they weren’t great. Anyways. I have used and abused that XE1 hiking and mountain biking in Scotland. The place is so photogenic I wouldn’t get too wrapped up in focal lengths. I used the 18-55 lens on a lot of my trips. Sometimes matched with the 27 or 50-230. Your 10-24 and 50-230 will work great. If you have a faster prime in your preferred focal length or somewhere in the middle of those like the 35 1.4 that would be about perfect.

As other have said be aware of the midge. They laugh at normal head nets bought in the states. Get a fine one over there. They also sell a midge repellent that is non toxic and works ok.

Thanks, sounds promising! I was wondering if the 10-24 wasn't too wide, but I wil just take all focal lengths with me then! Someone else also mentioned the midges. Must not forget...
