I don't see there would be significant improvement in the IQ of images going to R, even if I spent many thousands of dollars more. See the list of my lenses in my prior post.

There's nothing wrong with M zooms, for the size they perform well, however, using these zooms isn't the way to make the most of your 32Mp sensor.

If the IQ is adequate for you that's great.

And of course this is the key!Everyone has to determine what their output requirements are, and choose accordingly. There's zero sense in debating absolutes unless one absolutely needs the absolute best out there.

Personally I'm very happy with my set of EF-M zooms. They do what I need them to do. I'm also very happy with my set of EF-M primes. They provide the capabilities that I often need.

And I'm very happy with my RF zooms (28-70 f/2.0L, 70-200 f/2.8L, 100-500 +/- 1.4x TC). They are the absolute best out there (IMHO), and they deliver what I require professionally.

But I'm the first to admit that other pros have made other choices (that's natural), and other enthusiasts have their favorites too. This we expect. Because they're choosing what works for them personally, and obviously "the IQ is adequate for them too."

I do enjoy debating the topics that come up here though, and sharing ideas, and seeing the enlightenment that follows from that. It'll be interesting to see what happens after the next M is released!

Happy shooting everyone!
