70-200/F4 L IS USM unusable at F4

Like the topic says, my 70-200 is horrible at F4. It just isn't sharp! It's less noticable @70mm, worse @135mm and @200mm you'd think I was standing on a trampoline taking the pictures. It's also horribly unsharp apart from the very middle of the picure.

@70mm it gets better once I stop it down about one step, @135 it takes a few more, and @200 I need to stop down to at least F8. This, however, obviously affects shutter speeds and ISO in a way I'm not happy with.

I attached a few samples below to prove my point (and to give you a chance to practice your Swedish), all totally unedited .jpgs just for fun. Most of them shot on a tripod with a remote, so camera movement and long shutter speeds are not the culprits here. I attached a sample shot with 100/2.8 shot @2.8 and it's CRISP, and so is every shot I take with 17-40.

Anyone else has this problem, and would a $150 calibration help? I can't use it at only F8-32 and I don't wan't to spend money 'not' fixing it

Thanks,
