That's one huge upgrade from an SX50 to the mirrorless R world!. Straight away you will lose the flexibility and portability of the SX50 but gain a massive step up in image quality with an RP or R6.

Have you considered other options? An improvement on your current SX50 could be the Sony RX10 mk4 with 24-600 lens 1" sensor and good low light performance, a great camera and with excellent 4k video.

I have an EOS R kit with the 24 -105STM lens. Also the 800 f11. The R is a great camera, the autofocus is excellent, better than any camera I've used to date though naturally not in the R5/6 class but good all the same. Just the frame rate is a bit pedestrian but doesn't prevent me from using it for birding. I can crop pretty closely too with the 30mp sensor.
