Even a blind squirrel finds and acorn every once in a while. The problem with the RP, and R, is poor AF and a terribly slow burst rate (especially in servo mode) makes the keeper rate when shooting moving targets very low.

Poor blind squirrel that I am, I find it impossible to recognise any accuracy in your sweeping dismissal of the RP, and I have posted evidence here to prove my assertion.

Actually, I was referring to the RP as the blind squirrel.  When it comes to shooting BIF, or any fast moving subject, very good AF and a fast burst rate makes for having shots in enough quantity to have a decent keeper rate.  The RP has neither of these capabilities but this doesn't mean one can't get a good photo occasionally of fast moving targets.  I have done this with my lowly SL2 but I have also missed out on many, many more good opportunities because it just isn't up to the task of shooting fast moving subjects.
