Re: My 2022 toy budget is in. How should I spend it?

Sounds like you let a small influx of cash trigger a GAS attack. Based on the description of your current gear setup, there are SOOOOOOOO many better uses for that money, but I'll try to answer your question.
The updated f1.4 Fuji trio are better lenses, but they're all kind of bulky for an X-Pro (IMO), so be sure you're ready for that. If you are, go ahead and pull the trigger. You don't seem fully satisfied with the Viltrox, so you should replace that too.
Alternately, go ahead and have fun trying a new system. Just be aware that, as someone apparently susceptible to GAS, I doubt you'll be satisfied with one lens in a new system based on what you're currently using. You'll be spending your next "toy budget" before you know it!
Great stuff! Super on point comments! I am sure it’s partial GAS although I don’t have to spend the entire budget on photography gears.
yes, the new Fuji 1.4 trios look great with some significant improvement over the old lenses. The main drawback is their heavier weight, and I am not sure if the clinical sharpness is something I will really like. Well, I won’t find out until I try it, that I know. is it a need? Not totally. Is it a pure GAS, not 100% either. The viltrox is a good lens except a few things: the clickless aperture ring, the constant loud aperture blade chattering noise, and the purple fringing issue. The infinity sharpness may also a weak point for the lens. So I am waiting for the new Fuji 56mm WR later this year or next year.
About the new systems, SONY’s technology and the Leica RF experience are something I want to explore but I keep my GAS at bay quite okay in the last 10 years after I switched from Canon. I shoot Fuji zooms mostly until I decided to go with x-pro3 and prime only 2.5 years ago and I eventually sold all the amazing zooms due to the shooting style change.
I know I probably won’t stop with 1 lens and 1 body of either Sony or Leica if I choose to go down that path and if I am happy with it. Thanks for the warning. 😁
